Who I Am and Why I Sell Avon

There’s something powerful about coming back to where your story started.

For me, that place has always included beauty counters, fragrance bottles, and the familiar name that’s been part of my family for generations—Avon.

But this isn’t just a story about a business. It’s a story about identity, legacy, and learning how to turn something familiar into something that reflects exactly who I am today.

A Legacy I Didn’t Fully Understand at First

I didn’t just “discover” Avon as an adult. I grew up around it.

It was in my home, in conversations, in the routines of everyday life. It was something my family trusted long before I ever understood what it meant to build a business from it. Looking back now, I realize I was surrounded by entrepreneurship and self-care long before I had the language for either one.

And now, as a third-generation Avon Ambassador, that legacy means something different. It’s no longer just history—it’s something I get to continue, reshape, and share in my own voice.

Why I Sell Avon Today

People often assume beauty sales are about makeup or skincare alone. But for me, it’s deeper than that.

I sell Avon because I believe in:

  • Confidence that starts with how you feel about yourself

  • Fragrance as a form of identity and memory

  • Self-care as something everyone deserves, not just a luxury

But I also sell Avon because I want to redefine what this space looks like.

As a gay man working in beauty and lifestyle branding, I’ve learned that representation matters—not because it’s trendy, but because it changes who feels included in the conversation.

I don’t see myself as outside the beauty world. I see myself as part of expanding it.

Fragrance Is Personal to Me

If there’s one part of Avon I connect with most, it’s fragrance.

A scent can take you back to a moment you thought you forgot. It can change your mood. It can say something about you before you even speak.

I’ve always believed fragrance is one of the most underrated forms of storytelling—and it’s one of the biggest reasons I continue to share Avon with others.

It’s not just about smelling good. It’s about feeling like yourself.

Why This Blog Exists

This space isn’t just a storefront. It’s a conversation.

I want this blog to be where I share:

  • Honest fragrance reviews

  • Gift ideas that actually make sense

  • Personal stories tied to beauty and memory

  • And my journey building something that reflects who I am

You won’t find pushy sales tactics here. That’s not the goal.

Instead, I want this to feel like a place where beauty, identity, and everyday life meet in a real way.

What Comes Next

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing everything from fragrance recommendations to gift guides and personal favorites. Some posts will be nostalgic. Some will be practical. Some will just be fun.

But all of it will be real.

If you’ve ever been curious about Avon, fragrance, or simply building confidence through self-care, I hope you stick around.

Because this is just the beginning.

If you want, I can also:

  • Turn this into a Blogger/WordPress formatted post with SEO tags

  • Or write Day 2 (your “why I sell Avon as a gay man” post) in a stronger viral style
